Chisa Yamaguchi is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area and graduated from UCLA with a degree in World Arts and Cultures and Asian American Studies. She has been touring with a premiere modern-acrobatic company called Diavolo Dance Theater for three seasons and recently returned from a world premiere tour in Frankfurt, Germany.  She has also had the privilege of touring through Brazil, Italy, Holland, Spain, Mexico, Austria and throughout the US, including such local venues as The Hollywood Bowl, The Greek Theater, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and The Broad Stage.  Besides performing with the company, she is also the Education Director, Assistant to the Director and Diavolo II director. She is also a certified teaching artist through The Music Center of Los Angeles and a certified yoga instructor through the Samudra School in vinyasa flow.  Her movement background includes modern/contemporary, ballet, gymnastics, lyrical, yoga, and Egyptian belly dance.  She has been a part of the JAG family since 2006 and is thrilled to be back teaching her passion for gymnastics, movement, and creative expression.
