Michelle came to JAG in August of 2011 as a recreational and team coach. She was a competitive gymnast in her youth, both in Club gymnastics and for Cleveland High School's team in Reseda, CA. She began coaching gymnastics in high school and has taught preschool and recreational gymnastics at clubs in California, Colorado, and Washington and summer camps in Hawaii and Northern California.

In 1995, Michelle began coaching competitive gymnastics. She has coached USAG Levels 4-10 gymnasts through State, Regional, and National Competitions. She participated in the TOPs program, attending National Training Camps at the Houston training center. She judged women's gymnastics Levels 4-8 for six years and has held the positions of Recreational Director, Preschool Director, and Facility Manager at gymnastics institutions. She and her husband, Andy, who is also a JAG team coach, previously owned a gymnastics club but unfortunately it burned down. When not at JAG, Michelle enjoys gardening, running, hiking, and spending time with her husband and pets.
