Tara has loved gymnastics for as long as she can remember. Like many youngsters, she first walked into the gym at age 2, and just never left. She started in recreational and pre-competitive artistic gymnastics, but quickly found a passion for rhythmic gymnastics. Invited to then join the rhythmic competitive team, she excelled, competing through level 9 and winning several state and regional titles. She hung up her ribbon and hoop for good to graduate high school 3 years early and start down her college path, attending a private college in Texas where she received a BBA in Business Management.
Along the way, she started coaching at the young age of 13 when she would assist with summer camps before her team practices. She has been coaching for the majority of the time since (18 years and counting!) Highlights of her coaching career include being the head coach and team director for the largest competitive group gymnastics program in the US, where many of her gymnasts won national and regional championships, and starting her own competitive program in Orange County.
In her spare time, her hobbies include travel, hockey (GO DUCKS!), and learning foreign languages (currently working on Finnish.) She also dabbles in professional dialect coaching.
