OUR FOUNDER

When JAG Founder Anne Josephson opened our doors in 2004, she envisioned more than a gymnastics gym. Drawing from her own childhood in the sport—and her experience as a gymnastics coach, gymnastics judge, educational psychologist and parent of four—Anne built a space where kids feel valued for who they are, not just what they can do.

What began with a staff of five and just three students,  JAG has grown to be the career choice of over 60 people who along with Anne serve over 2,000 families each week. While much has changed, one thing remains the same:

We do good things for kids.

With progressive programs, an exceptional team, and a strong sense of community, JAG is a place where children grow—in skill, in confidence, and in character.

With nearly 25,000 square feet of state-of-the-art equipment, JAG Gym is more than one of the top gymnastics centers in the country—it’s a place where families feel truly at home. Bright, beautiful, and thoughtfully designed, our facility reflects our commitment to excellence, safety, and comfort. From extensive earthquake retrofitting to hand-selected equipment, every detail supports a safe and inspiring experience for your child.

But JAG is more than a gym—we're a community. With friendly front desk staff who know your name, cozy observation areas, free Wi-Fi, and a sibling space to keep little ones entertained, we’ve created an environment where families can connect, kids can thrive, and everyone feels welcome.

At JAG Gym, we hire people—not just positions. We’re always on the lookout for enthusiastic, kind, and energetic individuals who are passionate about making a difference, whether or not there’s a current opening.

While a background in gymnastics is a plus, it’s not required for many of our roles. What matters most is your commitment to kids and families. At JAG,
“We do good things for kids!”—focusing not only on physical development like strength, flexibility, and coordination, but also on building confidence, character, and joy.

From our tiniest gymnasts to our advanced high school athletes, every child deserves a coach and role model who helps them thrive. And every family should be greeted with a warm smile and genuine welcome the moment they walk through our doors.

If that sounds like you, we’d love to meet you.

We believe that building an amazing team starts with being an amazing place to work. That’s why we’re committed to supporting our staff with competitive pay, generous time off, and paid sick leave for all employees.

For full-time team members, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Gymnastics Instructor

JAG Instructors should believe in teaching through positive reinforcement, with an emphasis on making a wonderful experience for each of their students. Instructors can teach Preschool or Recreational (School-Age) classes or a combination of both. Strong candidates are teachers with good time management skills who can keep the class energized and moving while making sure each child receives the individual attention necessary to progress.

  • Advanced Recreational Instructor/Competitive Team Coach

In addition to all the same qualities as a JAG Gymnastics Instructor, JAG's Advanced Recreational Instructor/Competitive Team Coaches should have additional gymnastics coaching or instructing experience working with advanced gymnasts. JAG's Team is comprised of competitive gymnasts in Artistic gymnastics. Our gymnasts compete at various levels within the USAG and XCEL programs. Familiarity with advanced skills, drills, conditioning exercises, and technique is a definite plus.

  • Camp Instructor

JAG Camp Instructors should have all the same qualities as a JAG Gymnastics Instructor in addition to the ability to work with kids in an extended class format. JAG Gym Camp's main focus is to teach gymnastics skills with scheduled breaks for craft, snack, and game time throughout the day. Qualified candidates should be comfortable working with a group of up to 10 children between 3-6 hours.

  • Party Concierge

JAG Party Pros are fun and energetic individuals with the ability to safely lead children of varying skill levels through the gym. Strong candidates are teachers with good time management skills who can keep their party group energized and moving with the ability to engage each child during what could most likely be their very first introduction to gymnastics and JAG Gym. In addition, qualified candidates must be able to interact with parents attending the party as well as set-up, serve food, and clean-up at the end.

  • Customer Service

JAG Customer Service team members are bright, enthusiastic individuals interested in working in a dynamic environment. Our Customer Service Team acts as a concierge for our students and their families. Qualified candidates should be fast learners with the ability to multi-task, and communicate clearly, effectively, and kindly via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
